We're alive! Internet costs money and is damn slow, so there'll be more later. In the meantime, some pictures.

The mountains on the flight between Bombay and Bangalore.

Breakfast with John Fennessy, the owner of the farm we're staying on.

Andy in the hut where we live now!

  1. I love the hut! It would be like Gilligan's Island...and just as good as a yert!

  2. Is the hut at ground level or is it elevated? Paige looks hungry and Andy looks happy. Looks like a good trip so far.

  3. Good to see that you folks made it just fine. Keep the photos coming when you can.

  4. Beautiful photos!!! That is one sweet-looking campsite with ventilation; not clammy like tents. Looks like no screens on the (adobe??) housing to deter bugs and critters...not a problem? Looks like a Swiss cowbell suspended in the doorway, is that the "door knocker" or light fixture? What is the "tree" next to Paige sitting in the doorway? Any grass? Looks pretty dry right now. What is the plant zone there? What's for breakfast? Do the citizens there have equivalent humor to our Norske Tina and Ole jokes/blonde jokes? Love, Grandma Wanda

  5. What's the time difference where you are and EST? It's midafternoon here and I'm listening to American bluegrass gospel CDs. What's the native music there? I only have an isolated sample in my "Playing for Change" cd, which funds worldwide music schools. Grandma W.
